Boy Wonder

Here is a picture of my Boy Wonder with his cousin, Chloe. Chloe was 8 days old when this was taken on Christmas Eve. I've got his fuzzy feet done, and will have a picture of them soon. His HP PoA scarf is next on the needles.

Kiri I'll be a-Knittin'

I will be knitting Kiri. I absolutely love it and I have the yarn and needles already. I have to finish my Clapotis and the Boy Wonder's HP PoA scarf first, then I'll be set.

IF (and a big IF) I like it enough, and don't have too many problems with it, I want to try to make one for my Mom and one for MIL.

Guage - it really is important! This is al the yarn I had left and I was too afraid that I wouldn't be able to complete any more rows if I didn't bind off where I did. I don't think the recipient will mind. I still need to weave it in and wrap it up for Christmas.

Chorus Line

This is the lovely Artful Yarns Broadway - Chorus Line that Jen at One Crafty Gal sent me in my very first SP3 box. This is the best shot of the colors of the yarn. I used the diagonal scarf directions on the ball arrow. I will be making more! At $11.00 per ball, this makes a great scarf for gifting!

One down - One to go

This is fuzzy foot one for my Oldest Boy. I cast on 36 and worked in sets of 18. (18 rows cuff, 18 rows heal flap, 18 rows foot lenght) It is too big for me so hopefully it will felt up to the right size. Post pictures after I have the other one made. The scissors are fiskars kids scissors that I keep in my knitting bag.

My Christmas List

I found this at Knit Once, Pearl Forever and barrowed it.

When is the best time to open presents? Whenever they are given. We celebrate with a lot of family, so they are opened as they are passed out. Some on Christmas Eve, some (Santa's) are opened Christmas Morn, some on New Years Day.

Have you been naughty or nice this year? Nice, with plenty of room to improve, I'm sure.
Real tree or imitation tree? At home – Fake, at work - Real

Favorite Christmas cartoon character? Olive, the other Reindeer

Did you ever write Santa a letter? Every year, with the boys. I try to save them too.

Buy any Christmas presents online? Not this year, but I have in the past.

Save the ribbon and paper or rip right through it? Bags are saved, paper is ripped unless it is realllly nice

Sharing Christmas with family this year? Yes, many times over!

Ever ride in a one horse open sleigh? A one horse carriage, but not a sleigh.

Ever roast a chestnut on an open fire? I don't even know where to BUY chestnuts!

Favorite Christmas pie? Cherry Cheese Pie or Chocolate Cream

Favorite Christmas movie? White Christmas

Favorite Christmas song? I Want Hippopotamus for Christmas

People on your Christmas list: more or less than ten? Way more – close to 25

Will you have a white Christmas this year? Doesn't look good. I would prefer to NOT have one for drivings sake

Do you believe in Santa Claus? Yes.

Who would you like to kiss under the mistletoe? DH, of course!

What color best represents Christmas? Red, green, and gold are in my decorations, tho I really like Blue and White

Does the postal worker get a gift this year? Nope, but the UPS man does.

Giving a present to a pet? No!

Your shopping; All done, half-way done, just started, not yet started? Mostly done, just a few things left.

Who gives the best gifts? My MIL. She has great taste and really takes the time to find the right thing.

Do you send Christmas cards? No

Do you own any Christmas music? A few, Beach Boys and Rosie O'Donnell to name the ones most likely in the CD Player

How many Christmas parties will you attend this year? 3 office parties, 2 church parties, 4 or 5 Toys for Tots distribution parties, not to mention the 3 family parties and the cub scout party!

Hot Cocoa

Let me tell you, I am normally a "whatever is on sale at the local grocery store" kind of hot cocoa drinker, but I have been to heaven. I am spoiled. I may have to divert yarn budget to cover chocolate indulgence!

Toys for Tots

Let me remind you that Christmas is only 12 days away. Please consider donating to your local chapter of Toys for Tots run by the Marine Corps Reserve. I have donated both toys and time, and find it very refreshing in this month of run-run-run to stop and give, without conditions.

This weekend, The Church at Battle Creek will distribute toys to 1,300 children. My entire family will be there for most of the two days.

If you live in the Tulsa area, you may drop toys at any area QuikTrip or at Toys R Us.

Christmas Knitting

My SP3, Jen sent me this (in Chorus Line) in her first package. I used the ball-arrow directions for the diaganol scarf for my neice Jennifer. I'd post a picture of the scarf, by Hubby's camera on his cell phone - YUCK!

It was VERY different to work with, but the results are gorgeous! I'll be buying some more for next year's gifts!

My youngest brother and his girlfriend are due to have their first offspring next week, so I am trying desperately to make her a pair of Kiogu socks before her arrival.

Secret Pals are the best

My lovely SP3 sent me this most beautiful Merino and a booklet of 12 different sock patterns. My SP3 is Jen at One Crafty Gal. I hope that we continue to correspond as she has great taste!

Merino Water Lillies Posted by Hello

The yarn is from Axelle at Two Pointy Sticks. It came beautifully packaged in a stamped tissue with brown ribbon.

Jen also sent me a jar of cookie mix that will be baked this weekend and a box of candy canes that were added to the ones already on the tree (less 2 eaten by the taste testers.)
