I'm going to have to look and see what I have in my stash. A knitted fish has many possibilites. And it is a really cute blanket for kids.I admire how determined you were to get it and get it right.
Very cute blanket! Thanks for the pattern. I amy have to see is I can make one for my little boys!
Thank you April!! I can't wait to try it out. I think I need more yarn :)
Love it!! Thanks so much!
I love this idea...I linked to it in my blog entry today! You know, what'd be cute along with the blanket is to use superchunky or double/tripled feltable yarn to make big fish pillows to go with it! Just make two of 'em, sew them together, felt and stuff!
You rock! I soooo have to make some fish right now. Okay, after I finish the pants I'm knitting.
I found this pattern the same day I found out my sister is pregnant!!! So, I started making fish right away. Is there a KAL for this blanket???
I worked on this pattern last night and because of my aversion for assembly, I decided to knit in a strip, tail to tail, nose to nose. The fin didn't work out right on the reverse but I will keep at it.
I have been promising I will use up all the odd balls from my stash for ages now and you have provided the perfect solution. I LOVE your blankie :)Moo x
Some of us are excited to do a knitalong of your wonderful creation here:http://goddess1.typepad.com/i_hide_yarn/2005/06/fish_knit_along.htmlAny idea on how long until it will reappear? Thanks!
Do you still have the dimensions for the fish? I'm wondering how many I'll need to knit for a 4 by 6 foot afghan.
